Windows XP (or earlier)

Focus Magic works with Elements 6 on a PC running Windows XP (or earlier), but currently, it must be manually installed, as follows:-

1. Download and install Focus Magic from the Download page on our web site

2. Once installed, go to the Focus Magic folder:  C:\Program Files\Focus Magic

3. Copy the "FocusMagic.8bf" plug-in file

4. Paste the "FocusMagic.8bf" file into the appropriate "plug-ins\filters" folder, for your version of Elements *

*  Please consult Adobe documentation/support if you're unsure which folder to manually install plug-in files into.

Windows Vista & Windows 7

Focus Magic will work with Elements 6 on a PC running Windows Vista or Windows 7.  However, Focus Magic is currently only supported on 32-bit editions of Windows - not 64-bit editions.  We plan to add 64-bit support in the near future.

To install Focus Magic on your Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC, please follow the instructions above (for Windows XP users) to install the plug-in manually.

Power Macs

Focus Magic works with Elements 6 on a Power Mac (PowerPC) computer running OS X (or later).

Intel Macs

Intel Macs are not supported at this time.  We will be releasing an upgraded Universal Binary version of Focus Magic, however, the developers are currently working on another project which is the reason for the delay.

In the meantime, you should be able to successfully use Focus Magic with Elements 6 by utilizing Rosetta.  Rosetta is an emulator for Apple which enables PowerPC applications to run on Intel-Macs.  For Rosetta support and to find out how to run Elements 6 with Rosetta enabled, please contact Apple or check your documentation.
