Digital Image Pro 10 Install Notes
Digital Image Pro is quite old now (the last release was in 2006), so it only works with Focus Magic Version 4, which can be downloaded from the bottom of the Download page.
Before installing Focus Magic, you need to create a plug-ins folder, as follows:
If you don't have a plugins folder, create one such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10\Plug-ins.
Start Microsoft Digital Image Pro.
Select "Options" from the "Tools" menu.
Select "Plug-in Filters Options".
Select the plug-in folder you wish to use.
Download and install Focus Magic.
Start Digital Image Pro, select an image, click "Effects", then "Plug-in Filters", and choose "Focus Magic".
Affinity Photo 1.5 - Windows Install Notes
In a future update, Focus Magic will automatically install itself to Affinity Photo's default plugins folder: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.5\Plugins
Until that time, you can manually install it using one of the following methods.
Paste it into your custom plugins folder, or create a new folder.
In Affinity Photo, go to Preferences.
Under "Plugin search folders", click "Add".
Find and add the custom plugin folder used in Step 4.
Enable "Allow 'unknown' plugins to be used".
Close Preferences and restart Affinity Photo.
Important Note
It has been noted on Affinity's forum that plugin support is still a work in progress, so some technical issues may be encountered when using any plugins with Affinity.
